The 4 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari is designed to immerse you in Uganda’s most iconic savannah park, where wildlife and breathtaking scenery come together in harmony. Nestled between Lakes Edward and George and surrounded by the Rwenzori Mountains, Queen Elizabeth National Park offers vast savannahs, lush forests, sparkling lakes, and a remarkable biodiversity that attracts travelers from around the world.
This safari highlights the park’s biggest treasures: thrilling game drives in the Kasenyi plains, the unforgettable Kazinga Channel boat cruise where hippos and crocodiles reign, and the famous Ishasha sector, home to the rare tree-climbing lions. It’s a journey filled with memorable encounters with elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and more than 600 bird species, making it one of Uganda’s finest wildlife adventures.
After breakfast in Kampala or Entebbe, begin your scenic journey southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll stop at the Equator for iconic photos and continue through lush landscapes of banana plantations and rolling hills. Lunch will be enjoyed en route in Mbarara before proceeding to the park. As you approach, you may catch your first sight of baboons and warthogs along the roadside. Arrive at your lodge in time for relaxation and later head out for an evening game drive, offering a first taste of Uganda’s wildlife
Rise early for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains, one of the park’s most rewarding areas for spotting predators. Lions are often seen stalking Uganda kob, while herds of elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs dot the open savannah. After lunch, head to the Mweya Peninsula for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This two-hour experience brings you close to massive pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and countless bird species including kingfishers, pelicans, and fish eagles. The cruise is a highlight, offering remarkable photography opportunities
After breakfast, journey to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park, famed for its rare tree-climbing lions. These unique big cats often lounge in giant fig and acacia trees, surveying the savannah below. Along the way, keep watch for topis, buffaloes, and elephants that roam the vast plains. The landscape here is beautifully wild and less visited, giving you an authentic off-the-beaten-path safari experience. Spend the afternoon on another game drive before returning to your lodge
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast while soaking in the last views of the park. Begin your drive back to Kampala, with a stopover for lunch and souvenir shopping along the way. Arrive in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari
